Leather is made up of several different types:
- N - Nubuck
- N - Suede
- P - Protected, Pearlized
- P - Protected, High Gloss
- P - Protected, Hand Wiped Effect
- P - Protected, Pigmented or Split
- A - Aniline, Wax Pull-Up
- A - Aniline, Oil Pull-Up
Currently we are only able to clean (P) Protected & (A) Aniline leather.
Our process includes cleaning the fabric with a cleaner/degreaser. We apply the cleaner to the piece and hand buff the dirt out. Because this process "dries" out the leather, we follow the cleaning with a conditioner. The conditioner is also hand buffed into the leather. This moisturizes the leather and will prevent it from cracking, which happens when it dries out. Leather dries out over time, this is why you should have this done every few years to prolong the life of your leather upholstery.
